Photo Booth at Market Events
The Delta Snap Social Booth is an in-person photo booth we set up at The Market at Delta and related community events. This section explains what happens at the booth in plain language so you know what you are agreeing to before you take a photo.
What we capture
-
Up to three photos per session, taken with the booth's built-in camera. The photos are stored in our secure cloud storage and tagged with the event you attended.
-
A typed e-signature - your name typed into the release form on the booth. We use the typed name to greet you in the delivery email and as a legal record that you agreed to the photo release.
-
Your delivery contact - either a mobile phone number (if you chose text delivery) or an email address (if you chose email delivery). We do not ask for both.
-
The state of the consent checkbox you tapped on the release form, the time you tapped it, and (for SMS opt-in) your IP address at the moment of opt-in. This is required for recordkeeping under the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
How we deliver your photo
If you choose text delivery, we send a one-time SMS containing a link to a page where you can view and save your photos. If you choose email delivery, we send the photos as attachments plus the same link. The viewer page is a one-time link for delivering your photo - we do not add you to any marketing list as part of this delivery.
Featuring your photo (only with your permission)
Before you sign the release, the booth asks "Mind if we share this?" If you tap "Sure, share it," your photo becomes eligible for use on Market at Delta social media accounts (such as Instagram and Facebook) and in event recap materials. If you tap "Just send me my photo," we send the photos only to you and do not post them publicly.
SMS opt-in details
Text messages from the photo booth are strictly opt-in. The booth's consent block at the moment you opt in displays our brand name, the purpose of the message (one-time photo delivery), message frequency (one-time, no follow-up), the data rates notice, the STOP and HELP keywords, and a link to this privacy policy. Reply STOP to cancel future messages and HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
Retention and deletion
We keep your photos in our cloud storage for as long as necessary to deliver them, to satisfy our recordkeeping obligations for the photo release, and (if you opted in) to use them in social media or event recap material. To request that we delete your photos and your booth session record, email market@deltacollege.edu with the date of the event and the phone number or email address you used at the booth. We will delete the photos and related session record promptly, except where we are required by law to retain a copy.
Children at the booth
The Market at Delta events are family-friendly. If a child under 13 uses the booth, a parent or guardian must sign the release. Parents and guardians can request deletion of a child's photo at any time by emailing the address above.
